Cheese of the Week: Baron Bigod

Baron Bigod is named after a French nobleman who arrived on British soil in 1066 with William the Conqueror. It is lovingly handmade on the 3rd generation family Fen Farm using the milk of their herd of Montbéliarde cows, who graze on the fertile marshland of the Waveney River Valley in East Anglia.

Jonny & Dulcie Crickmore have focussed on making Artisan products on their dairy farm. Their products can be found in the finest delis, restaurants & cheese counters in the UK & around the whole world!

We agree that Baron Bigod is one of the finest Brie cheeses in Britain. We love it for it’s delicious taste & texture. Beneath the nutty, mushroomy rind, oozes a smooth & delicate citrusy centre.

We recommend choosing Baron Bigod for your cheese board. It is delicious on fresh bread with figs.

However, you can check out recipes from Fen Farm Diary here
