Looking after our people
Our culture has been built on a strong history of family values, respect for others and the fundamental belief in ‘one team’.
What does it mean to be a member of the Aubrey Allen team?
Earning a wage that meets everyday needs. We are one of over 11,000 UK businesses that are a Real Living Wage employer. That means we voluntarily pay a wage rate that is based on the actual cost of living. It is independently calculated each year and based on what people need to financially earn to get by.
We also believe that if the company does well then the workforce should share in that success. That’s where our companywide non-discriminatory profit-related pay scheme comes in! Everyone in the business, after completing three years of service with us, is entitled to participate and the bonus paid out is truly a bonus. When the company does well, our people do well too.
The overall wellbeing of our staff is of paramount importance to us. We are accredited with the Good Business Charter, recognising good business practices. It measures over ten components from employee inclusion and diversity to payment of our suppliers. We have also undertaken workshops from industry professionals which include a range of topics from monetary advice to health checks, all cost-free and during working hours.
