Cheese of the Week: Cornish Yarg

Cornish Yarg is described as having a fresh mushroomy taste with an irresistible crumble in the core. The cheese is loosely based on a Caerphilly recipe, and it is wrapped in stinging nettles that are completely edible. It is a semi-hard cheese from, as it’s name suggests, Cornwall on the south west tip of England.

Cornish Yarg is a versatile cheese that can be enjoyed in various ways. It is delicious on its own, served on a cheeseboard with fruits, nuts, and crackers. It also melts beautifully, making it ideal for use in recipes such as quiches, gratins, and sandwiches.
