Cheese of the week: Burrata

Take your recipes to the next level with one of our favourite Italian delicacies!

Burrata is made from cow’s milk, and it consists of an outer shell of mozzarella cheese, which is formed into a pouch. Inside, it is filled with stracciatella (shredded mozzarella) and cream, giving it a soft, oozy centre.

Burrata is best served fresh & at room temperature to fully appreciate its creamy texture. We recommend jazzing up a salad as it is often enjoyed with tomatoes, fresh basil, and a drizzle of olive oil.

It is also delicious as a pizza or pasta topping or served with grilled Mediterranean vegetables. We love it with Diforti Nduja Salami Spread served on some fresh chargrilled ciabatta or sourdough! It makes for tasty light lunch or an exquisite Italian-inspired starter for when friends come round for dinner! Perfect for alfresco dining!
