Cheese of the Week: Appleby Cheshire

The Appleby Family have been making this cheese on their Shropshire farm since 1952! They are the last remaining traditional, clothbound, raw milk Cheshire cheese maker in the UK.

We love Appleby Cheshire for it’s crumbly yet creamy texture! It is typically matured for 4-6 months which give it it’s bold, tangy flavour.

We can’t recommend it enough for your cheeseboard, served with fresh fruits, nuts & chutneys or with fresh crusty bread as part of your Ploughman’s lunch!

It is a versatile cheese so works wonderfully with all sorts of recipes! We love it melted in our toasties, sprinkled across our salads or just simply to nibble on!

Please pop in & try for yourself!
