Head of HR and granddaughter of Aubrey Allen, Debbie Middleton, was recognised for her fantastic achievements at the 2021 Women in Meat Awards as she was crowned the winner of the Meat Businesswoman Foodservice Award.
Debbie’s achievements in her more than 30 years of work at Aubrey Allen are vast, but in recent years she has cultivated a culture of trust among all of the team who know they can speak with her in confidence. We now have Mental Health awareness training sessions and team ambassadors thanks to Debbie, and the recent pandemic crisis and subsequent furlough scheme were navigated by the company with support from Debbie, as Head of HR and as a member of the Allen family.
Debbie’s win comes two years after her sister, Sales and Marketing Director for Aubrey Allen, Lucianne Allen, took home the prize for the overall Meat Businesswoman of the Year in 2019.
