  2. You talk about zero waste - how do you achieve this?

    We buy whole carcasses from approved abattoirs from which our butchers craft many different products, utilising the whole of the animal.

    We believe that we should truly respect the meat that we buy and use everything that we can.

    We have frozen the meat box items in small amounts to help you reduce waste at home.

  3. How sustainable is your business?

    We take sustainability seriously at Aubrey Allen and are continuously looking how to improve in this area.

    We have made a number of changes in recent years, including heat reclaimation from our fridges, fitting sensor activated LED lights throughout our buildings, automatic taps, introducing paperless offices, toner cartridge and battery recycling amongst other things.

    As part of our Royal Warrant we also have to adhere to the sustainability criteria laid out for Warrant Holders.

  4. Do you encourage staff sustainability?

    Yes we do - the Aubrey Allen team really do work to our core values of 'There is one team, the Aubrey Allen team.'

    Many people have worked with us for over ten years, even 25, 30 and more!

    We celebrate this with a bi annual long service event for the staff and their families.

  5. How do you support charity?

    We support a number of charities with donations throughout the year. Locally in Coventry & Warwickshire, we support Zoes Place, Helping Hands, Mercia MS Therapy Centre , The Friendship Project , and at Christmas we provide meat to many of the Christmas shelters in the area.

    During lockdown in 2020, when restaurants closed overnight, we used produce that was no longer needed from our wholesale business to support the local community in Warwickshire by providing over 17,000 meals to the most vulnerable.
